Head of Land, Housing Company, Birmingham - up to £100,000 Basic Salary + Bonus + BenefitsWe are partnered with a leading national Housing Company, who are seeking to appoint a new Head of Land for their Central Region, based in Birmingham.You will be accountable for purchasing land for private open market homes to meet our clients ambitious target of building 50,000 new homes over the next ten years. Working with the Group Director of Land and Planning, youll appraise new opportunities, considering options for tenure, mix, design, funding, use and partnership working. The intention is for this post to grow into a Regional Director role.In addition to overseeing multiple site acquisitions, you will lead the creation of new partnerships and joint ventures, and as such you will be required to maintain an already well-established network of connections with such stakeholders as land agents, property professionals, funders, and house builders.You will contribute to the development and improvement of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure that they deliver objectives, along with ensuring all projects are compliant with identified financial regulations, housing scheme standards and organisation policies.Strong leadership and the ability to motivate your team are essential skills to succeed in this challenging, but rewarding, role. In addition, you will be required to display excellent communication skills, alongside an ability to challenge, influence and engage senior managers and other stakeholders.You will already have a strong track record of identifying and securing new land opportunities for residential development, as well as experience in leading and developing a growing team of Land Managers.For more information or to apply for the post, please get in touch today.
