Job Description

Are you a leader in IT Services looking to join a high-performing team, that is always looking for ways to positively improve the IT infrastructure and ServiceAt St Modwen, we are looking for a Head of IT Service at our Longbridge office. This role is responsible for overall leadership of the Infrastructure Services, Business Intelligence and IT Support Teams, delivering an efficient and effective IT Service thatsupports all St. Modwen employees and 3rd part suppliers. This role will offer a competitive salary, hybrid working and excellent benefits.Key tasks will include:

  • Responsibility for all IT systems and services.
  • Leadership of the IT Systems, Support, Administration & Service desk functions.
  • Management of and support for the BI Architect and the Business Intelligence Team.
  • Ensuring that Service Levels are set and maintained.
  • Managing and measuring key service level metrics.
  • Ensuring that all IT procurement is done in line with best value principles and adhering to Group Levels of Authority.
  • Engaging with third-party procurement specialists on larger areas of expenditure to ensure best value for St Modwen Group.
  • Responsibility for all processes and activities of Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Secretary of the IT Governance and Service Management body and associated meetings.
  • Deputising for the Group IT Director as and when required.
  • Provide support to the technology team on all aspects of the IT technical infrastructure and operations.
  • Mentor the team and develop their career progression through leadership and inspiration.
  • Understanding how the process of expenditure works within the organisatiom.
  • Assisting the Group IT Director on all project planning, implementations and rollouts where required.
  • Providing advice and recommendations in reviewing proposed technology implementations and standards.
  • Assist Group IT Director in Capital and expense budget management for IT overheads.
Skills Required
  • Substantial experience of providing an effective IT service in a large, complex organisation.
  • Good people management experience with the ability to support the personal development of individual team members and align individual objectives with the wider team.
  • Experience of leading and working with individuals outside your immediate team, with the ability to influence and lead delivery.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of building and maintaining supplier relationships including both direct and third party with a focus on commercial and contract management.
  • Good planning, project, and time management skills, with ability to work on own initiative and prioritise and coordinate, according to changing business needs.
  • Proven ability to analyse information from a wide range of stakeholders and of communicating technical and complex issues effectively, both orally and through correspondence and briefings.
  • ITIL Experience/best practice methodology and application to drive an efficient Service support function
  • Ability to take a methodical and logical approach to situations.
  • IT team leadership, including regular performance feedback, annual performance reporting and remuneration appraisals.
  • Have proficient knowledge in IT technical infrastructure and operations
  • ServiceNow knowledge preferable
  • ISO27001

  • Full UK driving license and own transport
