Job Description

We are currently working with a Birmingham based organisation who are looking to hire a Head of HR Operations on a 12-18 month contract.The role is a full time position (37 hours) Monday - Friday and is a hybrid role with 3 days office working and 2 days working from home.The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level or equivalent and be a Chartered Member of the CIPD, or eligible to achieve this status.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Supporting the HR Director in the development and implementation of HR strategy
  • Leading and managing the core HR Business Partner, resourcing and reward functions, building capability within these functions
  • Ensuring the HR Business Partnering team support managers in change and OD initiatives as well as the resolution of complex employee relations casework
  • Holding accountability for the resourcing and reward services and ensuring a timely and proactive service is provided
  • Leading and co-ordinating HR casework to ensure it is managed efficiently, professionally and in line with legislation and HR best practice
  • Ensuring that HR policy and procedures remain current, fit for purpose and suitable
Experience required (but not limited to):
  • Experience of working within a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Experience of working in partnership with senior decision-makers with demonstrable success of building good relationships and partnerships with key influencers
  • Proven capabilities as a senior leader and manager
  • Extensive experience of delivering change projects, employee relations and workforce planning and development
