Job Description

Head of Finance Location: Birmingham but can be based remotelyType: Part-time - 3 days a week or hours spread across the 5 days to suit candidate.Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 - pro rataDue to exponential growth, this Technology business is looking to hire the first senior member of their finance team, a part-time Head of Finance who will report and share finance responsibilities with the Managing Director.You will take sole responsibility for the management and leadership of the Finance and Payroll function for this business, who have grown from 24 people to 70 in the last 8 months. You will also have oversight of all financial areas including audit, statutory regulatory payroll and risk.Head of Finance Responsibilities:As the Head of Finance some of your duties will include:

  • Conducting data analysis and producing weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Managing payroll processes
  • Producing financial budgets
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Providing financial advice to staff members and trustees
  • Preparing for, and supporting internal and external audit activities
    • Experience:
  • The Head of Finance will have previous experience as a Finance Director/Head of Finance or in a senior-level finance role.
  • The ideal candidate will likely be a Qualified accountant - ACCA, FCCA, CIMA, CGMA
  • with experience managing payroll processes and producing financial reports.
  • Your financial acumen and creative approach to problem-solving will be of huge benefit to your new colleagues and you will build relationships which promote trust, confidence and respect.
  • Its essential you are a strong user of Microsoft packages, in particular, Excel and be familiar with finance systems.
  • If you have experience working within the Tech sector and specifically for Managed Service Providers, this would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
    • Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work part-time hours and the business is absolutely committed to this being flexible around your other weekly commitments, e.g. childcare responsibilities.Salary is up to £60,000 but this shall be on a pro-rata basis - so more likely £27,000 - £30,000We have been the recruitment business that has overseen such growth within this business, we are happy to provide further insight in to the culture and values and career roadmap that this Finance director opportunity shall present.Send your CV to Dan Rodrigues or for further information.
