Group Senior AccountantInterim 6 Month Contract.Home based, salary circa £60kClemence Rogers are working in partnership with our client, an established business, in the recruitment of an experienced Senior Accountant in an interim role.The central finance function is undergoing a reorganisation to deal with current and future needs of the business. This interim role will play a significant part in ensuring key objectives and statutory reporting requirements are met.This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking, progressive and profitable, market-leading large group of companies with a diverse range of interests in the transport, automotive and logistics sectors.Key Responsibilities:Audit and Statutory Financial Reporting Responsibility for ensuring subsidiary year end reporting is complete, accurate and compliant for group consolidations. Preparation of statutory accounts for group and subsidiaries using Thomson Reuters OneSource software. Liaise with auditors in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and consolidated group results. Liaise with tax advisors to ensure corporation tax computations are disclosed accurately in the subsidiary and consolidation accounts.Other: Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts for property companies and group accounts as required. Development of standardised monthly reporting standards and processes within the portfolio of companies managed directly by the central finance function. Review of current bookkeeping processes to ensure these are efficient and adapted to meet the future demands of the business. Play an active role in consolidating subsidiary reporting and developing standardised reporting templates for financial and non-financial information. Assist in accumulating and amalgamating data required for insurance renewals, group shared services tenders and other group projects. Oversee property reporting and transactions as required.The ideal candidate will have significant experience in statutory reporting, systems development and group accounting. Ideally they will have admin-level / advanced experience of OneSource reporting or similar software. They will have advanced Excel skillsparticularly in designing and maintaining templates to amalgamate information from multiple companies and in varied formats. Experience in preparing and presenting board reports will be necessary as this role is within the central finance function reportingdirectly to the group Board of Directors. Experience of property transactions is desirable as the group has a significant property portfolio.The duration of this role is for a minimum of six months, but could be extended for 12 months.Ideal Candidate for the Group Financial Accountant: Educated to degree level / Recognised professional accountancy qualification; Excellent understanding of accounting processes and the need for appropriate controls; Strong attention to detail; Proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames; Proven ability to prepare monthly management accounts; Knowledge of accounting systemspreferably experience of Sage; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Flexible in adapting to varied workloads; Professional conduct & attitude; Ability to work on own initiative; Willingness to take on new tasks and challenges; Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting; Excellent planning and organisational skills.Benefits: 21 Days Holiday, plus bank holidays; Contributory pension scheme; Death in Service Benefit; Health Shield.At Clemence Rogers your right to privacy is important to us.
