Job Description

We are recruiting for grounds maintenance operatives to work in Birmingham for Birmingham City Council at various locations across the City;Kingstanding, Yardley, Winson Green, Billesley, Woodgate Valley, NorthfieldJob Details of a Grounds Maintenance Operative:

  • Clearing out
  • Hedge trimming
  • Strimming
  • Using power tools
  • Shrub Pruning
  • Flower beds maintenance
  • Weeding
  • litter picking
  • removal of fly tipping rubbish
Skills Required Grounds Maintenance Operative:
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential - max 6 points - you will be required to drive a Council vehicle (normally a flat bed 3.5T vehicle)) to the location of work
  • Good attitude and a willingness to work
Details for the Grounds Maintenance Operative:
  • Salary - £9.50 rising to £9.90 on 1st April
  • Paid 36.5 hours weekly but only work 30 hours
  • hours - 7am until 1pm Monday to Friday
  • Does include occasional Weekend working
  • Full Health and Safety Induction training provided prior to start
