Rich Text Editor, tor__fextListingLayout, Press ALT 0 for helpGraduate Civil Engineer (CAD Technician) - Central Birmingham Location: Birmingham Salary - CompetitiveAbout the roleHere at Babcock International, were looking to recruit a Graduate Civil Engineer to join as a CAD Technician to support Designers and Engineers in producing design drawings for civil engineering packages mainly associated with railway infrastructure e.g. Level crossings, Equipment Support Structures, Modifications to existing Structures.Further responsibilities will include;* Assist senior staff in the development of the CAD section by promoting new ideas, advising on CAD add-ons and maintaining up to date in house systems.* Assist senior staff with the development of Quality procedures to ensure that the Division can achieve and maintain ISO 9002 registration.* In conjunction with the CAD Manager develop systems with other CAD technicians to provide uniform methods of drawing storage and archiving.* Responsibility will include for obtaining reprographic copies or drawing prints as instructed by designers. Duties to include folding copy prints as required by designers.* Detail reinforcement and prepare schedules to industry standards and cross check work of other CAD technicians.What do I need to do the roleYou will have previous experience using AutoCAD/Autodesk/Microstation.You will be degree educated at within Civil Engineering/ Structural Engineering or a similar disciplineWhat else do I need to knowWe are happy to talk about flexible working.
