Job Description

Our client is looking for a General Operative to join their team in Birmingham, B6.Within this role, you will be working towards gaining a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Engineering.Hours of Work: 7:00 am3:45 pm, Monday to Thursday. 7:00am12pm Friday.General Operative Responsibilities:

  • Finish jobs to works orders as requested.
  • Assist in other departments of the factory or administration as directed by management.
  • Work proactively with your colleagues to further the efficiency and quality of production.
  • Take part in the training of yourself or others to widen the skills base of the production team.
  • Abide by health and safety policies, report any incidents and take care to work in a safe manner.
  • Abide by and ensure that others abide by the company processes and policies and the company handbook.
  • Assist in any health and safety or quality investigations as requested.
  • Assist in training any staff as requested by production management.
Although you are primarily employed as General Operative, the requirements of work elsewhere may require you to work elsewhere in the company. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Stamp shop
  • Press shop
  • Enamelling
  • Plating
  • Deliveries within or beyond Birmingham
  • Maintenance and cleaning
  • Administration
