Job Title: Field Mechanical Engineer Location: Birmingham/West Mids/LeicesterSalary: Up to £30,000 basic DoE + benefits Who youll be working forOur client is the UKs Largest Garage Equipment Workshop Service & Spares Provider and is part of a European group that is active in multiple industries including manufacturing, distribution, and service within the automotive aftermarket.Job Purpose Working for the UKs largest garage equipment service company, you will be an integral part of our business development activities. Someone who has experience working with vehicle lifts and/or has a background in mechanical, or hydraulics engineering is beneficial,but training will be provided.Main Responsibilities * Carry out diagnostic/repair on a wide range of garage equipment products including vehicle lifts, brake testers, gas analysers, and smoke testers.* Completion and submission of accurate paperwork as required complying with the Quality System* Compliance and adherence to laws and regulations covering Health & Safety within the workplace.* Ensuring control of own van stock to meet First Time Fix targets.* The continued development of skills required to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.Typical Skills & Experience* To have good working knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering activities in a field service environment* Experience in working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment* Able to understand and follow procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards.* Excellent communication skills* A full clean UK driving license is essentialBenefits* Pension Plan* Life Assurance* Employee Assistance Programme - Family cover* 25 days holiday (26 after 5 years) plus bank holidays* Premier Inn Card* Fuel CardRequired skills
