SENco - Full Time - NorthfieldAre you looking to work in our innovative, exciting and happy school with motivated children and supportive staffA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SENco in September 2024. This post would suit a dynamic Qualified SENco with a secure knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience of leading SEND.Whilst this is a perm role, the school have requested they place the candidate through a 12-week long term supply route. What Aspire People is seeking:* A committed practising SENco* Ideally someone who has completed their NASENCO qualification or is willing to complete the new statutory NPQ for SEND leads.* Have a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for children* Someone with a keen interest in TLR or Assistant Headship* Demonstrate exceptional behaviour management skills* Lead and plan activities, delivering inspirational lessons based upon sound curriculum knowledge* Identify and address gaps in childrens learning* Understand the impact of the learning environment upon children and staff and make changes efficiently and effectively* Monitor childrens progress, make accurate observations, assess their achievement, record results and action findings* Have a can do mentality with a desire to overcome any challenges that arise* Have experience of working with pupils with a range of additional needs including but not limited to: Autism, Attachment Disorder, SEMH ADHD, ADD and Learning Disabilities * Have a current awareness of the SEND agenda, this is essential* Have evidence of consistently good practice that demonstrates impact, when providing quality SEND support* Have the highest expectations for all children, ensuring outstanding progress.* Demonstrate high expectations of learning, achievement & behaviour* Be able to motivate, challenge and enthuse our children* Show excellent communication and inter-personal skills to lead a team effectively* Inspire and engage all children creatively in the learning process.* Be committed to developing our team and maintaining effective relationships within the parish and wider school community.* Participate fully in the curricular, extra-curricular and religious life of our school.* Aspire for excellence and meeting targets/ deadlinesWhat the school offers its staff* Happy, caring, confident, motivated children who love coming to school every day to learn.* A hardworking team of dedicated, positive and very supportive staff* A supportive community which has strong links with parents and Parish* A proactive approach to your Professional Development* An active and supportive Governing Body* Excellent opportunities for growth into leadership.* Mentoring support and coaching from our experienced leaders.* Thorough and supportive induction process* 5 days per week for SEND Leadership and management * Must be willing to cover classes at times during absence * Commitment to staff well-being and workloadCommitment to safeguardingJosh of Aspire People is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and therefore the post is subject to an enhanced DBS statement.We also conduct online searches for all posts in line with guidance from REC 2023.
