Job Description

Front End Developer (JavaScript & React) - Permanent contract to start ASAPLocation: Birmingham, B7Hybrid working role (working 1-2 days per week onsite)Salary: up to £50,000pa (D.O.E.)Hours of Work: MondayFriday, 40 Hours per weekPurpose of Role -Working within a fast-moving industry, the Front End Developer will be directly involved in delivering cutting edge software for a variety of devices and technologies within the retail, entertainment and gaming industry.Principal AccountabilitiesYou should have a solid foundation in core web development, with a view to constantly keeping on top of new technology and taking your skills to the next level.The right candidate will partake in a variety of development tasks. These range from maintaining existing websites and services to creating new sites from the ground up.We are looking for someone who lives and breathes technology and who relishes the prospect of working with new languages and frameworks.Beneficial Experience:

  • Development with one or more CMS systems, especially Strapi
  • 5 years commercial experience within the web development industry
Personal Skills & Experience -Required Experience:
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • React JS
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Experience of integrating third party APIs via the front end
  • Knowledge of front-end testing tools such as Cypress.
  • Firm understanding of UX
  • Be familiar with Agile software development, working as part of a team to deliver against sprint goals
  • Be comfortable liaising with project stakeholders and demonstrating completed work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
