Job Description

Freight Settlement Specialist Birmingham Ongoing Temporary £11.79MondayFriday About The Company:A global logistics company is looking for a Freight Specialist on an ongoing temporary position. The Freight Settlement Specialist will be in charge of the client billing and supplier invoice validation process. This is a vital role in contributing to the successof the Integrated Logistics business unit.Duties of the Freight Specialist Position:

  • Ensure accurate billing throughout the billing cycle;
  • Prepare data, collect information and manage pre-invoice audit;
  • Customer Service - Dealing with requests from the customer
  • Validate and book supplier invoices;
  • Reconcile supplier billing against customer billing;
  • Management of GL matrix and misallocations
  • Management of payment status
  • Process performance management (Invoice Right First Time)
  • Management of Freight Invitation Statement process (final eFIS)
  • Management of pre invoice audit process
  • Central billing (overland/air/ocean funded by 3PL)
  • Monitor, understand and verify revenue/expense validations;
  • Work to deadlines to accommodate month end and create accruals;
  • Complete reporting requirements specified by internal and external customers i.e. Spend and accrual reporting
  • Resolve complex billing queries that may require back billing, credit notes or re-invoicing; freight cost variation handling
  • Provide and manage process performance and customer requests;
  • Take ownership for communication with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Assist Team Leader in team projects to ensure excellent and timely customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry and legal standards is adhered to across the function.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety requirements to provide a safe working environment.
  • Managing forwarders requests
  • Adhere to the WHO (Technical report series 957 Annex 5) GDP (good distribution practice) guidelines and EU (2013/C 343/01) GDP guidelines latest version
  • Adhere to the standards for Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal products (GDP) as detailed in the documented KN Quality Management System. Specifically referring to Global GXP Policy Manual Pharma (P805), the applicable Work Instructions and any customerspecific Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Deliver PharmaChain minimum standards for every shipment booked
  • Support PharmaChain product portfolio
  • Ensure GxP Compliance for the team and LCC is maintained in line with P805 guideline and Quality Management System
  • Ensure any deviations and exceptions are captured through the CAPA / NCR process and any upcoming CCARs are responded to in line with agreed customer SLAs
  • Adhere to existing K + N Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions following the business process mapping (BPM) structure.
