Job Description

Floor Layer / Carpet Fitter - Domestic / Housing MaintenanceMobile covering West Midlands£23,760 per annum plus excellent benefits and Company VanDo you have the right tools for the jobAbout the roleIf you thrive on improving people’s homes by installing great floors, crafted to a high standard and ensuring customer satisfaction - then our client needs you!Our client is looking for experienced Floor Layers/ Carpet Fitters to join their brand new In- House Floor Layer team. This is a mobile role covering the West Midlands area with a Company van provided.From stripping out existing floors and laying vinyl or carpet to installing cap and cove wet rooms this role is varied and no day is the same. You will have strong attention to detail and leave a tidy professional finish to all of your work.Its a tough task and their expectations are high. In return you’ll have the support of a great team and they offer:

    • They want somebody who has:
  • NVQ L2 Floor Laying and NVQ L2 Cap and Cove or good experience of Floor Laying
  • Experience preparing existing sub-floor timber or concrete
  • Experience of laying self-levelling latex screed or plywood and can lay liquid/sheet DPM where applicable
  • Worked in the social housing sector
  • Experience of domestic maintenance
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing and the ability to remove and re-fix internal doors to ensure the job is fully completed while on site
  • The ability to carry out a physically demanding role
  • A full Driving Licence
