R&R Electrical are looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join their team.Location: Midlands - Birmingham (working Nationwide)Hours: 48 Hours a WeekSalary: Days – £15.00 per hourNight – base rate x 1.3Saturday – base rate x 1.5Sunday – base rate x 2.0Working for a Fire and Security Company. We are both NSI and FIA approved. We operate within the Industrial and Commercial sectors in and throughout the United Kingdom. Role will involve travel and working away from home. You may also be placed on the On-Call rota.Fire & Security Engineer - Key Responsibilities:- Work is Nationwide so you will be expected to travel. Some work may be based in Europe- You are required to adopt a flexible approach to hours as work can be days, nights or weekends. You may also be required to stay way form home overnight- Install and Commissioning of Fire and Security Systems – Predominately working in the commercial/retail sector- Attending Reactive Callouts for System Faults and Planned Maintenance on Fire/Security systems- Installation of cat 5e, cat 6 and cat 6e cabling, containment, patching and termination of cables- Installing both Analogue and IP Security Systems- Cabling enabling and containment system install i.e. trunkings and trays etc.- Carrying out site surveys, job reports and health & safety risk assessments- Completing timesheets and expenses in line with work deadlinesFire & Security Engineer - Essential Skills:- Extensive experience in both Fire and Security Install & Commissioning- Ability to engage professionally & confidently with clients on both a technical and operational level- Excellent planning and organisation skills/Ability to multi-task- Ability to work within a close small team and communicate effectively with colleagues and the office- Ability to problem solve and provide proactive solutions to our clients- Ability to identify any new opportunities we could explore- Good work ethic with an energetic approach- Flexibility and commitmentFire & Security Engineer - Required:- Knowledge of the BS5839 Fire Alarm Regulations- FIA Qualifications in Install & Commissioning- Understanding of structured cabling installations- An understanding and general knowledge of current data standards- Full Valid UK driving license- Relevant CSCS card- Own hand toolsFire & Security Engineer - Benefits:- 22 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (loyalty scheme to increase to 25 days)- Company Van and Fuel Card- Work Mobile & Laptop- Company Sick Pay Scheme (after passing probation)- Auto-Enrolment NEST PensionTo submit your CV for this exciting Fire & Security Engineer opportunity, please click ‘Apply’ now.
