Financial Reporting Data Analyst - OldburyPosition: Financial Reporting Data AnalystLocation: OldburyContract: PermanentHours: Full time (35 hours/week; 8:30 - 4:30 Mon-Thur, 8:30 - 1:30 Fri)Salary/Benefits: £30,000 - £35,000 Sector: ToolingRole Details - Financial Reporting Data Analyst:Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Oldbury who are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Data Analyst on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for all of the Reporting and Sales Controlling activities for the Companyensuring that Revenue is reported accurately and data integrity is maintained at all levels.Duties of the Financial Reporting Data Analyst:* Ensuring Turnover is reported accurately and in accordance with the Company revenue recognition policy* Ensuring that Cost of Sales is reported accurately on a monthly basis* Investigation of discrepancies caused by system errors and employee mistakes * Maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal stakeholders* Manipulation of large amounts of data, data sets, and data cubes into useful management information to enabled informed decisions to be made* Training of staff and continuous improvement of the SAP infrastructure * Liaison with Group Finance and Controlling ensuring tasks and reports are delivered on time and to a high standard* Creation of reports within Business Warehouse data environment* Maintenance and development of the Management Information System and Senior Management dashboards* Support the Management Accountant in preparation of the VAT submission* Maintenance of the Chart of Accounts, including creation of new cost centres and general ledger codesSkills and attributes required of the Financial Reporting Data Analyst include:* A minimum of 5 years experience in a Data Analyst role, with experience of working with SAP and SAP reporting systems an advantage.* Advanced excel skills including lookups, pivot tables, indexmatch, and VBA desirable* Excellent presentation skills in both verbal and written form* The ability to convert large amounts of data into meaningful reports* A pro-active, rather than re-active, approach to system improvement* Thorough knowledge of financial postings and stock valuation techniques
