Summary:The Financial Analysis Manager is responsible for the line management of teams that deliver detailed financial analysis work across a portfolio of Registered Providers to obtain assurance that the Regulators economic standards are being met, and that financialviability is being maintained. The postholder works collaboratively with colleagues to deliver judgements on the financial resilience and quality of governance arrangements of Registered Providers. Financial Analysis Managers are responsible for the detailedfinancial analysis for some of the higher risk Registered Providers in the teams portfolio and will play a vital role in ensuring a consistent approach across the wider Regulatory Operations team.Leading on the regulation of large, high risk and complex providers, overseeing the work of assigned teams of Financial Analysts and a Senior Financial Support Analyst to deliver effective regulation of Registered Providers ensuring they are well governedand financially viable and that the economic standards are met.Responsibilities:The successful candidate will have a CCAB financial qualification or equivalent with experience in financial regulation or financial management and be educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.With a track record of delivering results in a financial or assurance-based environment and excellent experience and understanding of financial modelling and critical and analytical evaluation skills, the post holder will be able to exercise sound professionaljudgement and reach conclusions. The post holder will also possess experience of people and programme management with a proven ability to inspire staff and lead a geographically dispersed team.General Information:LocationOur staff are mainly working from home due to the impacts from the pandemic.RSHs core offices are in Manchester, Leeds, and Birmingham. Our posts can be successfully carried out from any RSH office unless otherwise specified in the job information. We offer flexible working arrangements and staff can work from home for part oftheir hours.Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, and some roles also involve onsite visits to social housing providers.In line with Government requirements to reduce the number of Civil Service and NDPB roles based in London, we only advertise roles in London which need to be there for business-critical reasons.InterviewsInterviews will take place towards the end of January; candidates will be informed they have been shortlisted by 14 January 2022. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performancerelated bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.Any move to the Regulator from another employer will mean you can no longer access childcare vouchers.
