  • Manage and own the management reporting, analysis, and commentary to Northern European
  • Provide a timely and complete monthly closing in collaboration with operational teams and accounting department and support the CFO in the analysis of the monthly closing (difference between the forecast and actual figures)
  • Challenge the managers within the business; deliver required financial guidance to the business by performing cost variance analysis, analysing results and proactively suggesting corrective actions; Ensure robust cost control
  • Coordinate strategic objective setting and provide analytical information by developing a deep understanding of the business results and markets within which the business operates; quantify the impact of action plans and validate business assumptions againsthistorical experience & target
  • As a member of the FICO management committee supports the UK MD and CFO, keeping an independent position to give a fair view on business, trends and forecasts facilitating business decisions; working in close relation with the CFO.
  • Manage the full Target and reforecast process and contribute to the development of strategic planning and initiatives to improve the performance of the business while minimising risks.
  • Manage and drive the investment decision and authorisation process (evaluation, selection of the investment opportunities, profitability and growth objectives);
  • Deliver the required financial guidance on business projects
  • Manage the Operations Control team; supervise and motivate team members, set individual objectives, appraise performances and provide feedback for continuous professional development
  • Partner with relevant SLT members for a deep understanding of key business performance drivers
Wed love to hear from you if you have:
  • An accountancy professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA) or European equivalent
  • BA/ BSc/Msc Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and/or training and education may be considered.
  • A financial background in a similar role and having strong all-round finance experience is essential, together with strong analytical skills
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment and managing many stakeholders and priorities simultaneously demonstrating strong organisational skills
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, independent, well-organised, good attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with ability to confidently present and communicate to senior management
  • Involves concerned people to gain understanding, consensus and commitment
  • Compares options considering opportunities and risks, exercises judgment, demonstrates decisiveness and action, demonstrates continuous improvement mindset
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds and within a team structure to involve people, set roles and objectives
  • Effective team player who is comfortable working on their own with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of financial systems, SAP preferable, ability to use Microsoft Office &/or Google Suite packages to a high level of competence
  • Strong data analytics, experience of using Power BI and reporting tools, advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards
