Job Description

Finance Manager - Metals & MiningOur client a PE Owner / Managed business is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to assume responsibility for the accounts function of this successful business whilst supervising staff and providing robust MI to Directors. This varied and pivotal role requires an outgoing and dynamic FM who combines strong IT capability with broad accounting experience within industry. They are entering a period of extreme growth and would benefit from an individual with knowledge and experience of acquisitions and mergers.Financial Controller Main Objectives

  • Manage a team of 2 people
  • Ensure financial transactions for the companies in the group are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the company’s financial systems are documented, understood by all in the finance team and are developed in line with best practice and new technologies becoming available
  • Produce timely accounts and meaningful reporting to Management; and develop future financial reporting to support and inform the business
  • Closely monitor working capital
  • Provide the company’s bankers, auditors, and insurance providers with the required information for their purposes
    • Finance Manager Main Duties (and finance team)
  • To support the Directors by providing financial information as required
  • To monitor / report on the businesses operational costs to ensure that best value is obtained
  • Monthly management accounts
  • HMRC (Corporation Tax, VAT, and PAYE/NI)
  • Schedule and reconcile all balance sheet accounts at each month end
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Making sure that each member of the team is supported in what they do; and develop systems to improve efficiencies and keep up with technological advances
    • This is an operational role but there is a clear career progression path to that of Group FM and Group FC reporting directly into the Group FD.The company is looking to Exit in 5-6 years time, so this valuable experience for an ambitious FM looking to grow and develop.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year Required skills
