Job Description

On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Finance Manager to work with a growing software business.This is a fully remote role with occasional travel into Birmingham City Centre.Duties of the role will include:

  • Be the heartbeat of fiduciary controls and compliance for the organisation, responsible for ensuring the business minimises financial risk and delivers excellence in line with good accounting practice,
  • Maintain up-to-date reports and documentation required to comply with all external regulations related to employment, statutory and legal obligations and filing of taxes, and organize, document and monitor application of all internal control processes
  • Be responsible for multiple holding companies and trading entities in the UK and internationally, improving the close process from 4 to 2 days (facilitated by new systems investment - Sage Intacct)
  • Deliver the year end audit and produce annual statutory accounts with external partners
  • Ensure statutory reporting and filings are delivered to deadlines, Tax and Fiduciary responsibilities are carried out (VAT, Corp Tax, HMRC, ONS, Cos House) including foreign WHT, potential foreign payroll taxes, transfer pricing and flag any Permanent Establishmentrisk
  • Be responsible for presenting accurate management information to the CFO and leadership team on a timely basis, reporting variance analysis, trends and action plans to meet financial commitments, including consolidated reporting for parent company ---
  • Help to drive financial information into the company OKR process, validating and co-ordinating accurate information in agreement with OKR champions
  • Support the annual budget, financial rolling forecast, cost centre reporting and sensitivity analyses as required by
the leadership / operational management teams and the business partnering teams
  • Act in partnership with internal and external stakeholder, creatively seeking solutions to improve current business practices in a quality-oriented way
  • Be responsible for revenue recognition and developing partnerships with relevant business teams, to validate monthly KPIs and dashboards
  • Have a strong transactional & cash management bias, ideally with currency exposure (not essential)
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
  • Fully Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ ACMA
  • Could be a first/ second move from practice
  • Technically strong accountant
  • Driven and ambitious
  • Strong stakeholder management
