Job Description

Michael Page have been instructed by a fast growing trust with ambitious plans for expansion, theyre searching for a Finance Director that is going to be at the forefront of running the operations of Finance and continuing their journey of strengtheningtheir financial service.Client DetailsAn ambitious and fast growing multi academy trust, based in Birmingham.DescriptionFinance Director duties:

  • Develop and maintain financial strategies, plans, procedures and systems to support organisational growth
  • Oversee all accounting functions including Billing, A/R, A/P, Payroll, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process in partnership with leadership team
  • Analyse financial performance, prepare variance analysis and present insights to senior management
  • Manage cash flows, debt, investments, capital expenditures to maintain organisations financial health
  • Implement internal controls, financial procedures, and ensure SOX compliance
  • Lead audit preparation and manage relationships with external auditors
  • Partner with HR on compensation, benefits and recruitment budgets and strategies
  • Identify and implement systems improvements and automations to enhance efficiency
  • Manage and develop finance team members, oversee training and succession planning
  • Represent organisations financial position to banks, investors, and other stakeholders
ProfileAs Finance Director you will have:
  • A relevant accountancy qualification: ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ideally have experience working a similar role in a similar sector.
  • Strategic thinking skills, this will help with the strategic vision of growth at the organisation.
  • A proactive mindset to your day to day work.
