Our client is a well-respected and rapidly expanding Midlands based company operating within the house building / Residential Property Development industry.An award winning SME Firm that has completed 3,000 residential units to dateHaving been established for over 12 years the company is progressively building a portfolio of high-quality developments and has a reputation to match.My client has several large development projects underway and is actively seeking out new land and development opportunities to continue to grow the business. The business has secured a significant pipeline with over 2,500 additional residential units consented for the coming 1-2 yearsThe business is now looking for an experienced Finance Director to help manage the company and project accounting workload. Working with the existing development team and reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be working on projects with acombined value of more than £1 billion pounds.You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious projects in the MidlandThis is an integral position in the company, you will be part of the senior project leadership team with a desire to improve processes, controls, reporting, and decision making, helping to steer the business to maximise efficiency and deliver the business plan.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Director looking to make a step up and take ownership and responsibility for this role, making it their own within a successfully growing business. Effectively run and manage all areas of company finance Identifying and implementing improvements in processes & team efficiencies Create and manage payments / payment recommendations Cashflow ownership and management Responsibility for and management of Balance Sheet Management of all HMRC process and paperwork, Quarterly VAT returns, Corp Tax etc. Lead business advisor for all financial, tax, payroll items Some experience operating at a senior level would be helpful Produce monthly management accounts for the board A willingness to become involved in the detail of projects Understand and maintain effective processes and systems Utilising performance management techniques that include KPIs to improve outputs Ability to work within a project team from cradle to grave, assisting the team in delivering the project in line with the business plan Strong financial management skills and business acumenThe ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) and have previous experience gained operating within the House Building / Construction Industry.Experience of conventional residential house building is key and previous experience of working to a "Build to Rent" model is also desirableIn return the successful candidate will be joining an exciting and progressive business with excellent scope for continued growth.A competitive basic salary and excellent benefits and bonus await and future equity stake awaits.
