Job Description

Morson Talent are proud to be partnering up with leading British-based property investment and development business specialising in the regeneration and remediation of brownfield land and urban environments.We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and hard working Finance Apprentice to join join their West Midlands based team in Longbridge on a Permanent basis.The successful candidate will learn how to operate in a FTSE 250 divisional finance environment, assisting the team in ensuring that all divisional reporting for the Strategic Land & Regeneration division is of the highest quality.Key Responsibilities

  • Assist is preparing monthly Business Unit Board meeting documentation.
  • Take an active part in the input and maintenance of the Property Profits model.
  • Assist in providing commentary and supplementary analysis used to support the monthly finance reporting cycle.
  • Involvement in project cashflow meetings, management, and reporting.
  • Assistance with the valuation accuracy in the biannual valuation process.
  • Working alongside the Senior Finance Analyst, develop and build meaningful relationships with the operational teams to enhance collaborative working.
  • Support in maintaining and enhancing S106 reporting.
  • Assist in development of new Finance models to enhance Business Unit reporting.
  • Ad hoc clerical assistance to the wider finance team as required.
  • Potential to be supported through AAT accounting qualification if desired upon demonstration of potential.
  • Develop and ensure safe working practices.
  • Maintain knowledge and adhere to relevant Group policies and procedures, legislation, and regulations.

  • An interest in finance demonstrated through past qualifications or work experience.
  • Strong academic track record at least up to A levels or equivalent.
  • Evidence of strong IT skills, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Passion for career progression and an thirst for knowledge
  • Previous studies include Mathematics, Economics or Business Studies.
