Event Coordinator£22,000 basic salary plus excellent benefitsOur client, a prestigious Birmingham City Centre venue is seeking an Event Sales Coordinator to join their established & successful events team.The role will involve liaising with new & existing customers with regards to corporate & private event hires, conference & banqueting, profile-raising activity and cultural initiatives.Key duties will include:Work closely with the Events Sales Manager, convert leads into bookingsmaximising revenue & profitability from opportunities around eventsEnsure that event details are accurately recordedincluding dates, resources, financial, logistical requests, customer contacts details and quotes on operational systems.Provide technical information about the Venues offer to customers and advise on layout and services.Ensure that plans are effectively communicated both internally & externally, working closely with the wider events team.Produce written quotations and contractsDeputise for the Sales Manager where necessary.Arrange for the provision of catering & refreshments from nominated suppliers.Liaise with contractors, security and cleaners to ensure third parties are fully briefed on requirements.Prepare spaces across the Venues portfolio ahead of events & bookings when requiredSource equipment and liaise with third party suppliers where necessary.Liaise with the organiser/client in the planning of their activity (including show arounds, contract creation, layouts, etc.)To Apply:Educated to Degree level or equivalent, ideally Events Management, Marketing, Business or Leisure relatedRecent experience in a comparable sector or industry, ideally events, conferences and banqueting,Ideally minimum of two years experience in a fast-paced sales role.You should have great attention to detail, the ability to think and excellent customer service skills.On offer is a basic salary in the region of £22,000 plus excellent benefits.A full job description and list of comprehensive benefits is available on requestTo apply for this role please send your CV via this job portal
