Job Description

Closing Date: 17/04/2022Want to be part of the celebration of sport and culture in 2022 Keen to fast track your exposure in Events and work in a truly unique and exciting environment If you have the experience and drive to support the delivery of the Birmingham 2022 CommonwealthGames please follow the links to come join our fabulous team!We are looking to recruit a number of Event Services Operations Managers who will manage the Front of House areas at competition venues and be responsible for delivering pre-agreed operational plans and spectator services. They will have strong leadershipand organisational skills along with the desire and ability to deliver outstanding levels of customer service. They will directly lead the customer facing Event Services team and facilitate a culture of support and integration delivering an exceptional gamesexperience to its spectators.Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of Event Services operational plans and services at a competition venue.
  • Work with the Event Services Venue Manager to ensure spectator safety is maintained at all times whilst also delivering excellent customer service all spectators.
  • Train, motivate and lead the Event Services venue team including providing briefings and on the ground support.
  • Ensure adherence to all licencing conditions, health and safety regulations and any other legislation applicable to the venue.
  • Liaise and work with the Event Services Workforce team to ensure all staffing requirements are met and are in place prior to each competition day.
  • Coordinate all the Pre, during and Post Event Action Plans (PEAPs) as part of the venues Risk Assessment and Operational Process.
  • Ensure FOH areas are always fit for purpose, including maintaining a regular schedule of checks throughout the event and acting upon incidents/observations & findings in a timely manner.

  • Previous Experience in Event or Venue Management
  • Previous experience leading & supervising small or large teams either in a paid or voluntary capacity
