Job Description

Our client, a large Freight Forwarder now seeks to appoint a European Import Operator to be based in their office in Birmingham.The successful individual will be responsible for dealing with all operational matters from receiving the initial booking to the final delivery of the shipment.Responsibilities:

  • Manage European Import Freight Forwarding process from start to finish predominantly German import services - PTL, FTL & Groupage
  • Provide high level of customer service with customers, agents and suppliers
  • Process and follow up quotes
    • Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as an Import Operator, preferrably German import experience
  • Experience dealing with European road freight (Groupage and Full Loads ideally)
  • Strong Freight Forwarding background
  • Excellent European geographical knowledge required, Germany highly preferred
  • Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness
