Job Description

Title: Engineering PlannerLocation: BirminghamType of work: Permanent, Monday to FridayAbout Client:An international packaging manufacturer with over 350 locations across the world and produces a range of recycled packaging products for the European corrugated case making industry.About the Role:Looking for an Engineering Planner to join the engineering department and oversee the site maintenance planning. You will be responsible for creating and updating the maintenance work order system, scheduling and prioritising the maintenance activities,liaising with various stakeholders, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.As an Engineering Planner, you will:

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor engineering projects from initiation to completion
  • Coordinate with engineers, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of project outcomes
  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate potential risks, issues, and dependencies that may affect project scope, budget, or schedule
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and presentations using appropriate tools and software
  • Communicate effectively with project team members and senior management on project status, progress, and changes
  • Implement and follow best practices, standards, and procedures for engineering project management
To be successful in this Engineering Planner, you should have:
  • A relevant qualification in engineering or a related field
  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in a papermaking or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with SAP PM/BI/MRS/MM or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
