Electrical SupervisorLocation: Field Based, within UKJob OverviewMetalis Engineering are currently working with our esteemed client, a leading system integration specialist for electrical and mechanical automation systems, who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Supervisor to join their thriving team.As an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor with a proven background in industrial installation leadership, your electrical expertise and unwavering commitment to safety and quality will go hand in hand with your exceptional ability to motivate and guidesite teams to success.Job Duties:

• Travel extensively across the UK, taking charge as the on-site lead for planned installations at manufacturing sites and quarries.
• Give utmost priority to safety by implementing and effectively communicating safe work systems (RAMS), conducting toolbox talks, and thoroughly briefing clients. Strictly adhere to Permit to Work requirements as directed by site leadership and Duty Holders.
• Lead and actively participate in hands-on installation work, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Collaborate with associated trades to meticulously plan and allocate daily tasks for the on-site electrical team, thereby enhancing executionand maximizing productivity.
• Conduct regular assessments of completed tasks, promptly reporting any issues or deviations to the project engineer.
• Ensure timely completion of installation certification and all job documentation, strictly adhering to industry standards.
• Cultivate positive relationships with client representatives and other project stakeholders to maintain a harmonious and collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years extensive experience in industrial electrical installations, with advantageous specialization in the quarry sector. Demonstrated expertise in requirements for containment systems and cable routing is a prerequisite.
• Show proficiency in comprehending electrical control and safety circuits, adeptly reading electrical schematics, and confidently interpreting GA drawings and termination lists.
• Demonstrate the ability to rigorously test and inspect installed electrical circuits, aligning with industry standards, and efficiently compiling and reviewing electrical certification for subsequent review by project engineering.
• Exhibit exceptional leadership capabilities, while also working independently and proactively tackling challenges head-on.
• Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, effectively coordinating with diverse, multi-skilled project team members, and occasionally engaging with clients.
• Embrace a strong team-player mindset along with a hands-on approach, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results, even in challenging circumstances.
• Be open to UK-wide site assignments, requiring flexibility and a willingness to work away from home when necessary.
• Possess a valid Driving License as an essential requirement for the role.

Essentials & Desirables

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations or equivalent (Required)
• AM2 (Required)
• 18th Edition (Required)
• MEWP License, IPAF 3a, 3b, or equivalent (Required)
• C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (Desirable)
• ECS Gold Card - Registered Installation Electrician (Desirable)
• SPA MPQC - Quarry Passport (Desirable)

Salary & Hours:

• Basic salary - £51,000, Potential to earn £55,000+ when including travel rates, overtime and onsite uplift!
• 45hr per week plus overtime at paid at 1.33x
• Travel rate at £16 per hour capped at 10 hours
• £1 per hour uplift to working rate when working away
• £20 meal allowance when working away
• Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
