Job Description

Do you have Electrical Production Engineer experience, and are you seeking a new job in Birmingham Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit a Production Engineer, and the role comes with a salary of between £35,000 - £42,000 p/aand excellent benefits working a 3 shift rotation.As an Electrical Production Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects relating to Engineering & Manufacturing across the site. You will be looking after planned maintenance, breakdowns and changeovers on key production equipment. Youll also be supportingthe Leadership team by leading and participating in improvements for reliability and production capacity by utilising continuous improvement techniques.In your first week in this Engineering & Manufacturing role, you can expect to:

  • Ensure all engineering activities are completed, meeting Health & Safety standards
  • Maintain production equipment with a proactive approach to provide robust repairs to prevent future losses to uptime
  • Implement the planned maintenance schedule with a continuous improvement focus
  • Work with the Leadership team, manage KPIs & develop an action plan for key issues
  • Define and improve technical changeovers using lean techniques (i.e SMED)
To apply for this role, youll need time served in an apprenticeship to HNC level or similar qualifications in a related engineering field and experience within a similar role. Youll also require:
  • Multi-skilled training with ideally an electrical bias
  • PLC fault finding and modifications experience
  • Robotics experience control and modification knowledge
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and analysis tools (FMEA, 5 Whys or equivalent)
