An exciting opportunity has arisen for an E-learning Development Officer to join the BDA Education & Professional Practice Team.Based at our Head Office in Birmingham. We are looking for someone who understands the instructional design process, can think creatively and bring digital learning content to life. A key responsibility will be to storyboard and create e-learning content usingArticulate Storyline, maintaining and growing our online librarywhilst also being involved in media production, including videos, webinars and podcasts.E-Learning Designer Responsibilities: Designing and developing new e-learning content, using a variety of media, such as online modules, webinars, videos and podcasts and also update existing content where required. Effective storyboarding of content provided by course developers. Managing the delivery of online learning content on the BDA Learning Zone (Moodle) and support BDA Learning Administration with course uploads, course pages and general Moodle admin. Working closely with course developers [subject matter experts], classroom-based course facilitators, course reviewers and administrators to develop blended learning solutions that support face to face teaching and standalone online courses. Monitoring usage, learner experience and use data analysis using qualitative research to monitor and report on the success of our courses and our learning platform. Trouble-shooting problems and making recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and drive retention. Keeping skills and knowledge up-to-date on emerging approaches to online learning, identifying appropriate e-learning trends and new software and integrating changes where relevant to BDA learning platforms. Maintain excellent working relationships with other staff, members and external contacts. Ensuring commitment and adherence to the BDA Equality and Diversity policies. Delivering any other reasonable requests for work, required by the Directors.E-Learning Designer Requirements: Relevant degree level qualification or evidence through previous experience Working knowledge of e-learning development and e-learning methodology. Working knowledge of online learning platforms, such as Moodle Understanding different learning methodologies and how E-learning / Digital Learning can support CPD Building interactive online courses in Articulate 360 (Rise or Storyline) and/or Captivate (or equivalent authoring tools) Experience in creating basic images/infographics/assets in a design software such as Canva Managing digital learning content on a Learning Management System (Preferably Moodle or equivalent) Developing and implement training materials for members and stakeholders, including webinars, videos and podcasts. Awareness of digital copyright legislation for use of content and images Knowledge of using video and audio editing software Use of Microsoft Office software Facilitation of workshops and storyboard meetings Design flair, flexibility and innovation Experience of working with online webinar and training platforms Experience of working on multiple projects at any one time Proofreading and creating web copy Experience of developing blended learning resources Facilitation of workshops and relationship management with SMEsAbout Us:We are the British Dietetic Association (BDA), the Association of UK dietitians.
