Job Description

Closing Date: 08/08/2021Are you looking for the opportunity to play a part in one of the biggest and most exciting creative projects in a generation If you are, Festival UK* 2022 [working title] is looking for an energetic Digital Operations Manager to help deliver an amazing celebration of creativity, which is taking place next the year throughout the UK and aims to reach millions of people globally.The Festival has commissioned 10 major cross-sector projects, involving unprecedented collaborations between scientists, technologists, engineers, artists and mathematicians (STEAM) from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. With plans to announcedetails later this year, the UK-wide programme will include live events, digital activity and participation and learning opportunities.With a successful track record of working in digital communications and the day-to-day management of an organisation/projects online presence, youll be part of a dynamic team and bring experience and enthusiasm to the role. In helping make the Festival happen,youll also be working alongside some of the most forward thinking creative minds, drawn from a huge variety of backgrounds and now developing their 10 extraordinary project commissions.This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be involved in a unique celebration of creativity, collaboration and bringing people together, and wed love to hear from you.Responsibilities

  • Manage all processes and procedures to deliver Festival UK* 2022s digital communications and platforms, maintaining agility and reducing risk.
  • Day-to-day management of the Festivals website, ensuring all content is accurate and up-to-date
  • Working with the Social Media Manager to develop and manage online content, ensuring a regular pipeline of engaging and relevant output.
  • Protect the reputation of Festival UK* 2022 by maintaining and continually enhancing the user experience, ensuring deliverability to a global audience.
  • Define user journey best practice and monitor and optimise user experience and digital journey performance.
  • Work closely with the Digital Communications Manager to plan, manage and optimise the user journey within the digital channel mix, tracking and measuring effectiveness and performance.
  • Provide digital operations support to the Festival teams.
  • Develop a set of KPIs/success metrics for digital performance, using insights to constantly test and refine the aims and objectives.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Experience of working in-house, agency, or substantial freelance.
  • Strong operational awareness of a multi-channel design and delivery.
  • Understanding of the latest production techniques and technologies and the technical skills to produce quality digital content across multi-platforms.
  • Web production tools and best practice.
  • Experience of working in a communications environment.
Desirable
  • Graphic design.
  • HTML.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and how to apply them.
  • Project management processes.
