Job Description

Birmingham 2022 are looking for a Digital Media Manager who will manage digital media activity and processes across all relevant channels as well as contribute towards the overall digital media strategy and provide guidance to the wider team regarding the use of the medium.Requirements

  • An internal and external champion for digital media, maximising opportunities and ensuring an innovative, results-driven approach.
  • Ownership of the day to day running of the Birmingham 2022 website.
  • Manage and support stakeholders requirements from around the business, whilst ensuring the website is suitable and appealing to all visitors.
  • Support and feed into the overall digital strategy.
  • Maintain a suite of digital reports and insight to benchmark against previous Games and monitor success and KPIs.
  • Consider tracking and success metrics for all activity.
  • Help develop a channel strategy to optimise content for email, search, display, website, etc.
  • Manage website content (including some copywriting and editing) and funtionality (knowledge of content management systems, specifically Wordpress, essential.
  • Helping to scope, plan and deliver web builds, digital advertising and UX developments to support campaigns.
  • Support digital integration and UX projects.
  • Maintain calendar of activity in line with marketing activity and key dates.
  • Work with agencies and brief ideas and concepts for digital media campaigns and digital elements to integrated campaigns.
  • Provide advice on developments in digital marketing in terms of trends, usage patterns and functionality.
  • Help grow our database with relevant targets and reliable data.
  • Operate within the constraints of GDPR.
  • Work with the wider Communications, Marketing & Media team to encourage effective use of digital marketing across all campaigns.
  • Work with the Brand Manager to define consistent look and feel across the website and other digital products.
  • Maximise shared and earned opportunities through digital channels.
  • Maximise media spend across relevant networks using test and learn strategies, smart targeting and retargeting practices and funnel / lifecycle marketing.
  • Skills & Experience RequiredEssential
  • Strong experience in digital marketing
  • Proven experience of managing brand digital activity
  • Digital campaign management
  • Deployment of digital advertising
  • Ability to organise and plan to include a variety of inputs and information streams
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Comfortable and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in the use of information technology
  • Desirable
  • CIM qualification or evidence of relevant continual professional development.
  • Use of test and learn strategies
  • Campaign planning using funnel marketing
