We’re looking for a Development Manager to replace a role to be made vacant with the promotion of the current Development Manager to Head of Technology. The right candidate will be looking to progress their career, joining a highly successful start-up at an exciting time including significant migration an updates to our applications and infrastructure.You will be managing a team of 7 Developers (3 working remotely) with the option to work remotely yourself. You will be expected in the office on an adhoc basis to attend meetings and work closely with the team when needed.Personal ProfileAn experienced and dynamic Development Manager who has demonstrated an ability to nurture a growing development team involving the latest .Net technologies. The experience will be ideally for a SaaS business that is used by thousands of customers per day across many different markets involving scalable architecture.You will already have demonstrated how to realise the potential of each team member, how to continually improve the product and processes around it and how to identify and solve issues pragmatically. You will have a good balance of playing to the team’s strengths but providing your own expertise and experience to ensure that high quality is always maintained. You will see yourself as a high achiever but will also be recognised as this by those you have worked with.Essential• 5 years+ of direct people management experience in a team of 5 or more people – must be in current role• 10 years of .Net programming experience including dotnet core to v3.1 - the ability to produce code of the highest quality• Proven experience of making significant business decisions• A CV that is not simply a series of short-term (<2 yr) roles or a long-term role in a single company• Experience of running agile Scrum development teams• Experience of managing remote teamsDesirables – 3 or more of the following• Development experience in 3 or more companies• Strong experience of CI/CD with Devops• Experience designing, deploying and monitoring Microservices• Strong SQL Server experience• Experience of using Docker for development and deployments• Experience of designing or managing Cloud deployments
