Deputy Manager Position Available with a homely, centrally based 40+ Bed Elderly Residential HomeLocation: Kings Heath, BirminghamSalary: £28000-£30000Hours of work: Full time including weekend working on a rota basis Are you passionate about providing exceptional care for the elderly Are you a skilled and experienced professional seeking a leadership role Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager to join a medium sized elderlyresidential home in Kings Heath, Birmingham.You will join a setting which creates a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel safe, valued, and cherished and who strive to deliver the highest standards of person-centered care, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. As theDeputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the home, working closely with the registered manager and staff team.You will be required to oversee a range of duties and will need to be flexible to deliver hands on care and be on the floor from time to time; leading by example and truly making a difference to the lives of the people who reside there.**Responsibilities:**1. Assist the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.2. Support and mentor the care team, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.3. Conduct assessments of residents needs, develop individualized care plans, and review their effectiveness regularly.4. Coordinate and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage to meet residents needs.5. Monitor and maintain the highest standards of care, maintaining accurate records and documentation.6. Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external stakeholders, fostering effective communication and resolving any concerns or issues.7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and therapists, to ensure holistic care for residents.8. Assist with recruitment, training, and performance management of care staff.9. Continuously evaluate and improve care delivery processes to enhance resident satisfaction and well-being.Requirements:1. Proven experience in a leadership role within an elderly care setting.2. A genuine passion for working with older adults and a commitment to providing exceptional care.3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.4. Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in elderly care5. A compassionate and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.6.
