Job Description

Day to Day SurveyorWe are currently recruiting for a Surveyor to join a Housing Association based in Birmingham. The role would be working 30 hours a week, initially on a contract basis of 2 months.Key Responsibilities:- To deliver Technical Support (day to day, voids, and domestic gas servicing) ensuring regulatory compliance.- To ensure all works and contracts comply with Health and Safety and other relevant legislation.- To specify works and record findings for day to day repairs.- Carry out pre and post void inspections.- To manage day to day and void repair contracts for the repairs and maintenance service.- To carry out and produce risk assessments.- To carry out stock condition reports.- To actively manage insurance claims through to completion.- To undertake survey works to include inspections for disrepair and litigation works, damp and condensation related issues and items of a structural nature.The ideal candidate will have:- Proven 5 years building management experience within a social housing, construction or property sector.- Education to HNC in building or equivalent.- Proven experience of the management of major contracts.- Understanding of legislation in maintenance and property management, having the ability to translate these into working practice.- Effective diary management and the ability to work to deadlines.- Driving license and access to a vehicle.
