Job Description

The Role of Data Quality Analyst This role is key to achieving success within the Data Excellence pillar of our Data Strategy which has a primary objective of ensuring our processes and infrastructure align, providing confidence that our data is accurate, secure, private and protected throughlegislation and polices, and driving a data thinking culture. We are currently building out our Data team and looking for self-motivated and drive individuals to come on board! Responsibilities; Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports Work with management to prioritize business and information needs Working in collaboration with all teams across the DCofE, and wider stakeholders across the Society. Act as an internal consultant for DCofE to Transformation Advising on matters relating to data excellence, data governance, data improvement and process development and quality Requirements; Exposure to and understanding of Data Quality tooling such as Experian Aperture Experience of Data Quality practices and approaches Experience of data profiling and cleansing methods and tools Experience of Data Quality implementation (rules, Data Quality engines, Data Quality processes) Actively identify potential risks and issues relating to data in the delivery of business projects and work with stakeholders to review, remediate or manage a solution Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills Experience of troubleshooting data issues and providing root cause analysis and solutions Able to produce and deliver Data Quality dashboards ideally using PowerBI Understanding of Data Quality concepts such as business rules, Data Quality dimensions, Data Quality metrics, and data profiling Understanding of programming principles, coding experience will be beneficial to the role (for example SQL, R, Python etc.) Demonstrate an analytical approach to work, able to spot trends and arrive at conclusions Experience with data governance implementations and work products (such as data dictionaries, business glossary, lineage, etc.) Confident engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders around the Society including Executive An organised and flexible approach to work with ability to work on own initiative Have a dynamic and resilient nature with an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment Demonstrated ability to meet agreed milestones in business environments where stakeholders are reacting to emerging issues Presenting information effectively Experience working as part of an agile delivery team Experience using agile tooling such as Azure DevOps Understanding of agile methodologies and ceremonies Agile Methodologies We look forward to hearing from you and wish you the very best of luck with your application.
