Job Description

As a Data Analyst for Building Cost you will be responsible for the reporting and provision of Business Intelligence, on both financial and operational data held within the Oracle estate maintenance database Verisae.Working in the Birmingham City centre head office, youll be part of our Property Department reporting to the Head of Building Cost Management, Creating, running and Manipulating Reports.Client DetailsOne of the Largest UK Operators in Hospitality.   • Providing periodic financial reporting, benchmarking expenditure against budget
  • Delivering periodic operational reporting on contractor SLAs and key performance metrics
  • Proactively analysing data to answer key questions from stakeholders, or out of self-initiated curiosity
  • Recognising and extracting key trends from the data held in Verisae and able to interpret and express those trends to key stakeholders through succinct report writing
Profile
  • The ability to extract and manipulate data to highlight trends and deficiencies
  • The ability to analyse, evaluate and assess the validity and relevance of information to draw appropriate conclusions and make necessary recommendations through visual, written, and verbal communication
  • Excellent communication skills and to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • High degree of self-motivation
  • Understanding of relation and multidimensional data designs, with knowledge of SQL interaction techniques and functions, Oracle preferred.
  • Broad working knowledge of Excel and BI tools and architectures. For example, IBM Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy etc
  • Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools to solve business problems
  • Experience in BI production for related software/systems (Facilities Management, Property, Energy etc) preferred
