Job Description

Daily SEN Teacher - South Birmingham - ASAPAcademics are recruiting SEN Teachers for a range of SEN schools including SEMH, ASD, SLD, MLD and PMLD settings. We need passionate teachers who are looking for daily supply for the perfect work/life balance.Are you an experienced SEN Teacher with SEND experience who is looking for a new opportunity Are you passionate about making a difference and working with special needs children This exciting role is to commence ASAP for ongoing daily supply in the South Birmingham area.The ideal candidate:

  • SEN Teacher with QTS
  • Previous experience of teaching students with Special educational needs (SEMH, ASD, SLD, MLD and PMLD)
  • Knowledgeable of the UK curriculum and SEN curriculums eg. TEACCH
  • Aware of the procedure with regards to safeguarding in a school environment
  • Reliable & punctual
  • Ability to risk assess and follow instructions
  • Ability to develop rapport with SEN individuals
  • Patient and calm with a desire to get the best out of individuals with SEN (behaviour management certificate is desirable eg. Team Teach)
  • Experience of working with non-verbal children is desirable, especially those who are Makaton trained
  • Desire to work day to day
