Job Description

My end user client is looking for a D365FO Data Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. They can offer a hybrid working model, and theyve got offices in: London, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Bristol, Basingstoke OR Dundee and you can be part office basedin of these locations. Please see more information about the role:Role DescriptionThe Data Analyst is part of the team responsible for the migration to a new global Dynamics 365 Finance system from the current NAV system and other legacy systems. This is a highly technical role, focusing on the accurate data structure, management, migrationand reporting.Organisational DesignThe role operates within the Finance team with a reporting line to the Data Manager associated to the system migration project.Specific Role Responsibilities* Assist in data migration from old to new Finance system is complete and accurate (e.g. General ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets). Creation of the technical tools to manage this process.

  • Creation of scripts/routines/dashboards to automate as much of the data migration and cleansing activities as possible
  • Assist in managing data to / from core Finance system and other systems (e.g. Workday, Gatekeeper, Bottomline Treasury Express, Qlik)
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Support others in use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
  • Create methods to automate data cleansing and data extract/load. Work with the Data Manager to create the transform tools required to migrate data from source to D365.
  • On programme completion, ongoing BAU system data management, ensuring high qualify data is maintained
Experience required
  • Significant experience in D365 programmes, with excellent knowledge of D365 data entity structures. Ideally experience of NAV data structures also.
  • Proven experience as Data Analyst, ideally working in an international environment
  • Excellent technical skills - very good Database Administration skills and capability to create scripts/routines/dashboards to automate as much of the data migration and cleansing activities as possible
  • Understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution)
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies (e.g. SQL), and interaction with other systems (e.g. D365, Workday, Gatekeeper, Bottomline Treasury Express, Qlik)
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting and visualisation packages (PowerBI, Qlik) and programming (XML, JavaScript or ETL frameworks)
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Knowledge of D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (FSCM) data migration is preferred
