Job Description

Senior Project Manager required for a leading Microsoft Gold Partner in Birmingham. You will be required to lead large scale software development and software support initiatives and aim to exceed the expectations of the customer whilstensuring a consistently good performance against project baselines. The ideal candidate will have D365 experience and would have previously worked as a Project Manager within a supplier environment and understand the challenges/requirements that entails.The role will be hybrid working, with expectation to attend the head office in Birmingham and client site.Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Strong Project Management experience, particularly in a supplier environment.
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of Dynamics 365 implementations are highly desirable
  • Experience working in the Higher Education, Council or Housing sector would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of managing 3RD party relationships, communication and deliverables relative to the project.
  • Ability to work closely with the business/client and provide a clean well documented handover after implementation, and to provide support to the business post implementation.
  • Ensure post project reviews takes place to improve future implementations.
  • Monitor the quality of all work undertaken by the project teams under your control and schedule resource to achieve the optimal balance between risk, benefit, time and money.
  • Ability to track delivery against the estimating matrix and analyse any variances with a view to refining the accuracy of the matrix or recommended process or working practice changes to the management team to help remove redundant or over-engineered processes.
Key Skills of the Role:
  • Extensive knowledge of the approach and standards required to implement a customer service led culture in an IT based development environment.
  • Strong experience working with internal and external resource and suppliers
  • Ability to create user stories, tasks and bugs in without supervision and maintain statuses in collaboration with project teams
  • Understands the concept of DevOps burndown charts and can articulate sprint progress to project teams and client stakeholders
  • Good financial management skills:
  • Experience of managing project or cost centre budgets
  • Understands different pricing models and their impact on project delivery.
  • Ability to execute month end activities including raising accruals, creating invoices and updating the monthly control sheet without support from PMO colleagues.
  • Previous management, supervisory and leadership experience.
