I am currently working in partnership with a well-known firm of solicitors in Birmingham who are looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Assistant who is hoping to progress to a fee earning position.As the Conveyancing Assistant you will assist a Senior Solicitor with a busy caseload of sale and purchase matters from file opening to completion. As the role develops, there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to handle their own caseloadand become a fully fledged fee earner.Your responsibilities will include:* Liaising with clients, agents, referrers, search providers to progress conveyancing transactions* Obtaining initial documentation* Dealing with sale, purchase and re mortgage matters* Drafting sale contracts* Dealing with lenders on both sale and purchase matters, checking redemption statements, mortgage offers, and dealing with financial calculations* Ensuring the timely transfer of files following completionIf you are confident Conveyancing Assistant who would like to the opportunity to progress with a supportive and collaborative firm, please apply now or send your CV
