Controls Engineer (Training in Renewable Energy) Midlands (Remote Based) £40,000 - £43,000 + Van + Fuel + Door-To-Door Pay + Overtime Bonuses + Specialist Training Are you a Controls Engineer with experience or knowledge covering heating system controls and looking to grow your career further by joining a highly-specialised company that can offer training on unique Renewable Energy systems This long-established company has established a positive reputation as a leading turnkey provider of Biomass, Steam, CHP, Waste-to-Energy and Solar PV systems for a range of clients ranging from District Heating associations to industrial centres and racetracks. In this role you will be responsible for designing, building, programming, installing, commissioning and fault finding on Control Panels specifically for commercial and industrial scale heat and power systems. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in building and installing control panels specifically for Heating, CHP or Power Generation systems and will have knowledge of valves, motors and boilers. They will be comfortable working in a flexible rolethat will sometimes see them working from home and at other times will involve stay-aways for on-site installations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys learning new things and continuously widening their skillset to join a highly specialist business where they can work on complex and unique systems in a variety of locations. The role: * Designing, programming and building control panels for large-scale heat & power systems * Travelling to sites across England to install and commission control panels * Carrying out fault diagnosis on control panels * Analysis issues with controls and engaging in long-term improvement works * Occasional stay aways when working alongside major projects (fully subsidised) The person: * Practical experience in Controls Engineering for Heating/Power Generation/CHP systems * Capable of working with little oversight on engineering works * Open to learning and interested in gaining training on CHP, Biomass and Waste-to-Energy plant * Full UK driving license and comfortable with working in a mobile role * Happy with stay-aways during the week during installation and commissioning phases Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd regrets to inform that our client can only accept applications from engineering candidates who have a valid legal permit or right to work in the United Kingdom.
