Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist - New CAMHS PICU Ward West Midlands Salary: £150,000 - £180,000 Remit Compass Associates are proudly working with a leading provider of private mental health services to headhunt for a Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist. This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5hrs/week plus participation in the on-call rota 1 in 3 as 2nd on call. Youd be based at an independent mental health hospital in Birmingham where youd establish and be responsible for the new CAMHS PICU ward (opening in the next 1-2 months) for children up to the age of 17 with complex mental health conditions. The ward has a designated Specialty Doctor as well as the wider MDT which includes Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses and Support Workers. You would hold a caseload of up to 12 young people and would be instrumental in establishing and developing the new purpose built, PICU ward. You could also be involved with the linked outpatient clinic, in the city centre, where you can develop your private practice. Hours and on calls: This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5hrs/week plus participation in the local on-call rota (2nd on call at 1 in 3). Specialty Doctors are 1st on call so you would be called for telephone advice and only needing to go to site for seclusion reviews. Commutable from: Birmingham, West Bromwich, Dudley, Handsworth, Solihull, Halesowen, Sutton Coldfield, Stourbridge, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Worcester, Bridgnorth, Stourport-on-Severn, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Tamworth and surrounding towns.
