Job Description

Are you a Sales Manager with experience within the Hotel and Conferencing industry Does the buzz of a sale motivate you Looking for your next opportunity Then look no further…An exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive sales person to join a prestigious organisation in Bourneville, Birmingham.Benefits to include:

  • Duties and responsibilities:
  • Participate in the identification of sales leads and proactively seek new business
  • Day to day management of the booking system, ensuring timely and accurate recording of client requirements from enquiry through to arrival
  • Maximise revenue by implementing good management practices
  • Greet incoming clients, ensure satisfaction during their stay, and actively seek feedback after departure
  • Encourage repeat business through the establishment of good client relationships
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with existing conference agents, and identify and nurture new contacts
  • Prepare accurate invoices and ensure that these are sent out in a timely manner and that the company credit policy is adhered to
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet evening and weekend customer demand, where necessary, for show rounds, familiarisation trips, open days etc
  • Develop a good understanding of the companys CRM System and ensure it is utilised to its maximum potential
  • Making proactive calls and ensuring all the data is correctly obtained and logged
  • Carrying out site visits in a professional and hospitable manner to new and existing clients with the view to confirming their business
  • Referring any business that is not suitable for to another venue within the portfolio
  • Responsibility to manage sales team members
  • Conduct 1-2-1s and appraisals
  • Provide training and feedback
  • Setting annual growth targets
  • Forecasting sales figures
  • Skills/Experience required:
  • Hotel and conferencing sales experience
  • B2B Sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in closing sales
  • Professional and friendly approach
  • Well informed about the market and industry
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
