(please make your manager aware at application stage)Who we needWe are looking for an experienced, delivery minded transport planner to support the procurement, delivery and operations of spectator and workforce transport services for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.You will support the Spectator Transport Managers, initially in applying transport planning principles to develop delivery strategies and solutions for Park and Ride, Shuttle Bus, Active and Accessible Transport operations. You will then play an integral role in transitioning planning into delivery on the ground for Games time.You will need technical knowledge and practical understanding of transport planning and delivery, with a successful track record in delivering projects, with multiple partners, on time and to budget.About the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth GamesBirmingham 2022 includes 19 sports, bringing together more than 12,000 athletes, Games Family and international media for 11 days of top-class competition in amazing venues.The Games is a catalyst for change, helping to deliver a healthier, happier, better connected and more prosperous region for us all.
