In this key role you will develop agood understanding of the key drivers of the business to enable you toeffectively deliver insight, challenge, add value and influence strategic businessdecisions. You will be responsible for buildingstrong relationships and business partnering with senior managers and theirteams, providing financial insight to support their commercial decision making.Key ResponsibilitiesDedicated Business Partner to The Works management team, building partnerships and strong relationships withall senior managers and their teamsProviding financial support tocommercial decision making. Delivering analysis and insight that linksfinancial reports to business strategies, coveringsales and margin, marketing investment, channel performance, benchmarking ourstore portfolio, and operational labour modelsImprovingthe impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance;providing options and scenarios for business decisionsProvidingeffective commercial support to ensurekey operational, commercial and financial targets are deliveredKey leadership role in supporting the budgeting and forecastprocesses, providing support and challenge for budget holders, high-lightingrisks and opportunities, and ensuring alignment with business objectivesAssisting with the development of new MI reporting, systems andprocesses, embracing continuous improvementFor areas of responsibility, ownership of the monthly managementaccounts and reporting to the boardRequirementsA fully qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA, with commercial businesspartnering experience, you will be able to demonstrate the following:Essential:Motivated and self-sufficient, using initiative to be pro-activeNaturally inquisitive and confident to challenge both accepted assumptionsand processesCollaborative approach with excellent communication andinterpersonal skills to be able to liaise with and influence colleagues at alllevelsCommercially astute with a strong desire to understand the keylevers in the business, and an ability to interpret numbers into meaningful insight,and communicate to the businessAbility to professionally challenge the business to makeimprovements to operational and financial performanceExperience of budgeting and forecasting processes includingreviewing and challenging commercial targets with budget-holdersStrong Excel and analytical skills, with attention to detail andable to work at pace under time pressureConfidence to initiate process improvements and the tenacity tosee them through to completionStrong organisational skills, flexible and able to adapt quicklyto deliver a fast turnaround on ad-hoc tasksDesirable:Experience in a retail environment or similar fast pacedorganisation is a clear advantageExperience in using MI tools such as Cognos, TM1, AptosRemuneration packageSalary £50k to £55k dependent on experience33 days holiday(inclusive of Bank Holidays)Company pensioncontributionHybrid working averaging2 days per week in the office but flexing with requirements25% colleague discountCycle to work schemeHoliday purchase schemeEmployee AssistanceProgrammeLife AssuranceHealthcare Cash PlanFree Car ParkingCharity Giving - Penniesfrom Heaven and Give as you EarnFinally, the bit "About The Works"We are people whodo!Here at The Works, we are building a working environment thats fun, friendly, and supportive - all at the same time.
