Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Collections Advisor to sit within the finance team by offering solutions for serious arrears and insolvencies queries. This position will be great for someone who has strong experience working with a Collections and Legal environmENT.About the Collections Officer:In this position you will be responsible for the day to day management of all insolvencies, repossessions, and any legal proceedings. The Collections Officer will need to ensure the database is always updated with all legal proceedings and lead by company example. Supporting the Collections Manager, you will be influencing the arrears and legal strategy whilst also maintaining performance. Attributes needed for Collections Officer:Essential experience needed: * Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.* Proven experience within a Collections and Legal environment * Capability to communicate well to customers by using effective questioning and listening techniques * Highly developed knowledge about all matters of law related to contract law, civil litigation (debt recovery) and insolvencies* Excellent IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPointThe successful Collections Officer will need to be honest, have a highly developed attention to detail and investigation skills. They will also need to have strong decision making negotiation and communication skills to all levels. If you are a motivated professional from a Legal and Collections background and has a strong ability to work under pressure, then this Collections Officer position is for you.
