Job Description

CNC MILLING- PROGRAMMER/SETTERWe are looking for an experienced individual, in programming, setting, and operating 3 and 5 axis machines machining centres. Having a strong working knowledge of Mazatrol or Heidenhain controls is a must.The job entails working on contract jobs which are of a varied and diverse nature including fixtures, prototypes, and bespoke work with a small amount in production work.We offer an excellent starting salary with excellent prospects in progression for the right person. Overtime paid at x1.5PH, offroad parking, free uniform, free tea/coffee, working in an immaculately clean environment with the latest modern technology. Allthis with an excellent opportunity to expand on your engineering skills and experience.Essential skills for the CNC Setter/Programmer role

  • The successful applicant must have at least 5 years’ experience producing one offs from engineering drawings, be able to work to tight tolerances and inspect parts using the correct measuring equipment.
  • You must be able to use your initiative and make fixtures or jigs to assist in the production of your part, you must also have a sound knowledge of tooling along with feeds and speeds.
  • The successful applicant must be self-motivated and have ability to project manage the part from cradle to grave, and to meet deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £16 PH UPWARDS DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE- SALARY INCREASE UPON GOING PERMANENT
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Duration: Temp to Permanent role upon successful probation
Working Hours
  • MON-THURS: 8am-4:30pm
  • FRI: 8am-3:30pm
  • Overtime available at X1.5 PAY
