Job Description

CMM Programmer & First Off Inspector Full time, PermanentMonday to Friday 6am -2:15pm then Monday to Friday 1:45pm -10pm, then repeat rotationFort DunlopExcellent opportunity to join a professional business with a strong team culture and support structure, giving employees the access to train and progress their way up within the business.Job Specification

  • Ideal candidate skill set: Mitutoyo QV basic, OGP & Keyance (one of the three would be good to have)
  • Editing and writing CMM Programmes (Full programming from scratch will not be necessary)
  • Assisting production in line balancing CMM programs to production run rates
  • Utilising CAD data to programme off-line where practical.
  • Training of operatives in the above.
  • Working with & supporting the CI teams to develop safe launch of products into the business.
  • Compilation of first off reporting as required
  • Ensuring best practice to maintain good house-keeping practices (5S) throughout the department.
  • Supporting PPAP activities such as MSA, Gauge R&R, IMDS, FMEAs .SPC etc.
  • Liaising with all departments to drive corrective actions and improvement in quality & reliability.
  • Ensuring that customer requirements are met.
  • Supporting Quality Engineers and the department on quality issues.
  • Conducting process / product audits as required
  • First off lead time reduction by CMM program efficiencies
  • Timely completion of First Offs.
  • Right first time.
  • Resolution of Quality issues.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a Quality function desired but not essential (AS9100 / IATF16949/ ISO13485).
  • Flexibility and can-do attitude.
  • The individual must have the ability and personality to communicate and influence throughout the organisation, to ensure timely resolution of any issues arisen.
  • Ability to interpret and delivery customer requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite.
  • Design / CAD experience beneficial
  • A methodical approach to completing work in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proof of an excellent time and attendance record is required, along with a high level of flexibility by any individual considering this position.
  • Self-motivated to ensure that new technologies are always being considered.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make & influence change to drive Continuous Improvement.
  • The individual should be prepared to develop oneself further in training and education should the situation arise.
Other
  • Monday to Friday 6am -2:15pm then Monday to Friday 1:45pm -10pm, then repeat rotation
  • Internal and external training (including CMM Programming & Lean Manufacturing)
