MBA are proud to partner one of the UKs most innovative technology finance organisations in their search for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) on a permanent basis. As Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) you will be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining our clients cloud infrastructure.You will be responsible for setting up DevOps practices and tooling including CI/CD pipelines, configuration management tools and infrastructure-as-code.System integration, data services, reporting & analytics, business systems and operational tooling. DevOps activities include, technology support and maintenance and ongoing delivery of enhancements.This role is based full time remotely (working from home) and will then be based in Central Birmingham with flexible working opportunities.Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) - Key Responsibilities* Articulate the cloud strategy to establish a robust, secure and well-managed enterprise environment.* Drive DevOps improvements across the business.* Evaluate technologies and standards. Recommend solutions.* Help develop integration of distributed systems to achieve overall business aims.* Develop databases, data warehouse and data tools to satisfy data storage and processing requirements and maximise data quality and integrity.* Develop management information reports and analytics.* Implement and use appropriate development, DevOps and support tools and methodologies required to develop, test, deliver and maintain robust, high quality solutions.* Monitor, support and maintain the cloud infrastructure in accordance with the Banks business, availability, resilience and security requirements. Troubleshoot, debug and fix issues as required.* Support the continuous improvement of the infrastructure, procedures and tools. Work to maximise service quality, performance, efficiency and availability.* Keep a track of projects and ensure that they meet business requirements and goals.* Write and maintain technical and support documentation.* Work on a variety of Azure releases and projects (app releases, infra releases, data deployments).* Deploy high quality and robust code to create and automate deployment of Azure Infrastructure components and vendor applications.Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) - Skills / PersonOur business applications are mostly best of breed COTS products as SaaS offerings. Infrastructure, integration and data components will be built in-house using Microsoft Azure services and tools. The success of our business depends on the technology teams ability to deliver and operate elegant, innovative solutions of the highest quality. DevOps principles such as automation, CI/CD and infrastructure as code are central to achieving these goals.* Degree in a relevant Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or IT discipline (or equivalent experience).* Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code* Experience in scripting using PowerShell and/or Bash* Experience working with Azure DevOps to perform CI/CD pipelines, Azure Artifacts, Azure Repos.* Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible and infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform.* Experience with Azure Active Directory and SSO applications* Understanding of cloud security architectures, controls and best practices.* Driven towards automation and removing manual process bottlenecks to increase efficiency.* Experience developing and maintaining mission-critical systems with stringent resilience and information security requirements.* Experience working with 3rd party Vendors and remote teams.* Experience supporting data-centric systems - ideally this will include user-facing support.Cloud DevOps Engineer (Azure) - Perks* Company pension scheme* Flexible working / holidays* Training and development opportunities.
