Job Description

Client Manager- BirminghamAn opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious accountant to manage their own portfolio and small team at a growing independent practice in Birmingham.You will start as a Client Manager with an eye to grow and progress as you gain exposure to a burgeoning client base. This role will consist largely of accounts and tax work, along with business development focus with property related clients as an identified target sector.Duties:Manage a portfolio of clientsPrepare and review working papers, statutory accounts and management accountsPrepare and review corporation tax computations and returnsLine manage more junior staff, overseeing work and assisting when neededAssist with billingNetworking and building long lasting business relationshipsCollaborate with Director to grow the businessProfile:ACA or ACCA Qualified for at least 4 yearsSignificant accounts, VAT and tax experience in practiceAt least 2 years experience managing a team or juniors.Exemplary communication and writing skills and be capable of liaising and forming relationships with clients.An interest in property based clientsExperience with accounts software such as Xero, Quickbooks and SageIntermediate Excel skills including, Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, INDEX/MATCH formulaeFor more information or if you wish to apply for this role, please send your CV and details to James Gosling at AJ Chambers.
